Step 1: Grab Twine, and then cut 4 foot pieces.
Step 2: Pour some wood glue into a disposable cup. Dip each piece of twine into the wood glue and get it coated well and wipe off excess.
Step 3: Blow up a balloon to desired size. Drape the twines around the balloon. Keep wrapping with twines around your balloon until you feel your twine ball looks good. (Note: If you plan to place a lantern light in your finished lanterns, make sure to draw a circle on the top of each balloon large enough to accommodate the lighting fixture)
Step 4: Hang the balloon to dry overnight. After your lanterns have dried completely, you can pop the balloon. It’s like a magic!
Step 5: Sand off glue scraps with sand paper. If you want, spray the ball with clear fast drying spray paint outdoor to look great!
